Rain Marlar is an emerging director with production experience spanning film, podcast, and print magazine design. Her narrative approach is shaped by her training in architecture at Tulane University and study of political economy at the London School of Economics. Whether examining the New Orleans criminal legal system or women’s interior lives, she uses storytelling to better understand and articulate systems of power. She has studio management experience through interning at Fish Pot Studios, supporting film and commercial productions in New Orleans, LA. She has also served as Director of the Digital Arts program at Independent Lake Camp, an overnight summer youth program, where she managed instructors, schedules, and class timelines while delivering daily videos and overseeing 2–3 week projects.
